We Provide College Scholarships to the Children of Maryland's Seriously Injured Workers
Every year, thousands of workers are disabled by on-the-job injuries in Maryland. Tragically, on average, about 100 workers in Maryland lose their lives every year. It’s the families and, in particular, the children who are many times forgotten when these losses occur. Kids’ Chance of Maryland, Inc. provides an opportunity for these children to pursue their education, reach their goals, and fulfill their dreams for the future.
5K Benefit Run/1M Walk -- April 28, 2012
Join us on Saturday morning, April 28th, to remember andhonor those Maryland workers, many of whom were parents, who lost their lives in workplace accidents.
Host location: McCormick & Company, Hunt Valley Plant, 11100 McCormick Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21131 (entrance off Beaver Dam Road)
Runners, walkers, and sponsors (both corporate and individual) will help raise much-needed funs for the Kids' Chance of Maryland memorial scholarship fund.

2011 Kid's Chance of Maryland Annual Gala and Educational Scholarships Fundraiser! (click here for photos)
The 8th annual Kids' Chance of Maryland Gala and scholarship benefit fundraiser was held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Boumi Temple, in Rosedale, MD.
More than 150 people attended the annual event. In addition to a number of student scholarship winners and their families, the honored guests included several Maryland Workers' Compensation Commissioners, members of legal firms, insurance organizations, and local businesses that helped sponsor the event.
Tom Phelan, IWIF President and CEO, was on hand to host the event as President of Kids' Chance of Maryland, and Nancy Kellar, Kids' Chance of Maryland Executive Director, assisted. More than $40,000 was raised; it will go toward future scholarships for deserving students.
